Gatsibo Agro Processing Plant

Gatsibo Agro Processing plant is a domestic company registered by RDB with registration number: 108336711 that do manufacture of grain mill products and animal feeds. It is located in Rugarama sector, Gatsibo district, Eastern province of Rwanda. The company has 2 shareholders namely Gatsibo Agroprocessing Cooperative (GAC) having 10 members and Gatsibo Investment Group Ltd (GIG) having 70 members.

The company started in 2018 with objective of investing in post harvest activities that will reduce losses experienced by all cooperatives in Gatsibo district by providing the needed market for maize grain produced in Gatsibo district, producing and selling high quality maize flour and residual for livestock to all residents of the district. The company has milling capacity of 26.5 metric tons of maize per day of 12 hours (if 100% capacity use) which is sufficient to meet 2,100MT of maize flour per month requirement of Gatsibo district.

Our Mission

To contribute to poverty reduction through aggregation, purchase of maize from farmers and cooperatives in the district, handling them by drying and process into maize flour for food that will be sold to all farmers and residents of Gatsibo district at affordable price.

To ensure market for the maize produced by the farmers in Gatsibo district and make value addition that will benefit all people including farmers themselves.
